Pink or Blue? :)

So I'm just beside myself :) This past Tuesday, Nich, my sisters, and I made the trek to UW to find out the sex of the lil' babe! I was soooo excited for the appointment but surprisingly nervous at the same time. Nich and I had been convinced that the baby was a boy since we found out we were pregnant. No reason in particular---we just had a feeling :) We were even so bold as to nickname the baby "Timmy" because we just could not wrap our heads around the fact that the baby might be a girl. Walking into the hospital on Tuesday morning, though, I found myself thinking that there actually was a pretty good chance (50/50 is really good!) that the baby might be a girl, which would mean we'd have to totally shift our train of thought and prep for pink instead of blue. We waited in anticipation as the ultrasound tech showed us all of Timmy's fingers and toes, his little heart beating (so cool!), his profile.....and finally his little penis! Nich and I both cried and cried. We ARE having a son! I've been so so blessed by Nich and now I get to have another awesome boy in my life...I can't wait to meet him, to teach him, and to get to know all of his little quirks (poor little guy is going to have quite a few with us for parents!) In other news, Nich has started talking to my belly so that Timmy will recognize his voice as "Daddy" once he's born, and I've started to feel kicks! Pregnancy is so much fun :) :) :) Oh--- and we're coming up with some names we just love....but we've decided to keep Timmy's real name a secret until he arrives! I'll put up our ultrasound photos for you guys soon..... ;)
